X2Pro does not currently support MTS files.
A user on this forum post was able use a workaround (using clipwrap to losslessly convert the MTS file to a MOV). This may be the easiest solution.

There is also a forum thread ( www.x2pro.net/forum/4-media-and-formats/769-audio-extractor-error.html ) where we were helping a user to have X2Pro extract the audio from proxy/optimised clips that FCP X had created. I think there are two workarounds in that thread, one is to get FCP X to relink to the proxy/optimised clips, and the other was to manually edit the fcpxml.
If you need help with any of the workarounds, post back here, and we'll try to help.

I ran the program for the first time today, and getting this error:
Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [00089] to AAF file
Opening audio extractor for portion 0 of asset [00089]
Failed to open audio extractor
Error Opening asset (/Users/Feberfilm_3/Movies/FeberFilm FCPX.fcpbundle/Wilhelmsen Chemicals/Original Media/00089.mts) with QuickTime (The file is not a movie file.) [-2048] []
Suggestion: Please ensure that:
- the media file has not been moved or deleted;
- you have added its location to the Media Locations in preferences;
- the media file can be played using QuickTime player.
No AAF file has been generated.
The film plays fine in FCPX. It is the latest version, and a brand new macbook pro.
Some of the files in the project are only proxy files, but surely that does not matter? Or?
Any suggestions?
