For anyone who may come across this tread in future; John emailed us saying that turning off SRC when importing did indeed fix the issue for him.

Do you have SRC (sample rate conversion) turned on in Pro Tools when you are importing the AAF? This has been known to cause sync issues. Can you try importing the AAF with the "Apply SRC" option turned off and see if you still have sync issues?

I'm attempting to import a self-contained AAF file into Pro Tools 12 HD with bizarre timing results. Files appear to have populated not only incorrectly placed in the Pro Tools Tracks but the audio's in and out points (set within FCPX) don't translate correctly and are incorrect. The files appear to have slide to other In/Out points in the sound file rendering the entire AAF import useless.
Has anyone had this experience before? If so, how did you resolve it? I never had this problem with the older style OMF files. I only had to select "maintain relative timecode values" within the ProTools Session Data import window for virtually all things to import correctly.
Thanks for any guidance you can give me!
