The developers have been working on this and we have a version in our labs that is undergoing testing to be released in the future.
Unfortunately their is not a publicized release date for that version yet.

Thank you for your response. When will X2 Pro be able to process MTS files? This is a common file format.
Also, what other formats is X2 Pro unable to process? Knowing this would be very helpful in our post production workflow.
Best,
Chris

The error message is given because one or moreof you files are MTS files.
X2Pro uses Apple's QTKit framework to extract the audio from clips and QTKit doesn't understand how to process MTS files (as you found out, QuickTime Player also doesn't understand how to process MTS files). When you exported the clips from FCP and re-imported them, you worked around the issue by re-wrapping them as MOV files, which QTKit (and in turn X2Pro) understands.
Until X2Pro supports MTS files, we recommend that MTS files are re-wrapped as MOVs before using them in FCP so that X2Pro is able to extract the audio and then you won't hit this problem in future.
We are currently developing and testing a new release of X2Pro that uses Apple AVFoundation, which should add some more support fo the application.

I am having a similar parsing problem. Could this be related to the upgrade to 10.10.5?
Is there a solution for this yet?
