Maurice,
We're sorry that you hit this issue.
You're right, there is a problem with X2Pro 3.0.2 where complex sequences fail to convert. We have fixed this in v3.0.4, and have submitted it to Apple for approval. As soon as that happens we will make it available in the app store.
One solution at the moment (as you have found out) is to use an older version (there is no version 2.6, you are probably using 2.51). The XML version shouldn't make a difference.

For what it's worth - I'm finishing off a one hour tv doc, editing on FCPX - the latest version - and when I attempted to create AAFs using X2Pro 3.0.2 - again the latest version - it crapped out every time. We tried all sorts of solutions - cutting the individual parts into smaller chunks, deleting tracks etc.etc. To no avail. We could get sections of about 8 mins to happen but anything longer and the dreaded error message. Also once the programmes started to fail it would continue to fail immediately unless we quit out and relaunched. To make a long story shorter we finally hit on a solution - we played out an XML at the 1.4 version level from FCPX and found a computer in the facility that hadn't automatically updated X2Pro - it was version 2.5 or 2.6 I think. That combination seems to have worked. So while somebody somewhere fixes this rather critical cock up - that XML at 1.4 into an older X2Pro does at least get you home. I don't know if there's any lingering AAF issues - we've only just started the mix. More later if there is. Good luck y'all.
