I apologize for the long delay, but our developers have been able to figure out what we believe to be the cause of this issue you were seeing.
If you have some time for us, we would like to get you to test the fix and give us some feedback.
I will email you directly with details on where to get the BETA app.
Many thanks for your help.

Hi James
I just want to do a quick follow up with a couple of thing I found today regarding the synchronised clips.
Its a little complicated, let me try to explain with exemple.
Let say that we have a library that is composed from 3 clips.
1 video clip: stereo
1 audio clip from an external recorder with 4 mono track
1 audio clip from a Music with 4 track too.
Now, you can synchronized the video clip and the audio clip from the external recorder. You now have a synchronized clips made of 6 tracks.
Now, put the synch clip into your primary storyline and attached the music clip too it.
Your sequence now look like this:
If you export your FCPXML to X2Pro like that everything works fine, you will have your 10 tracks in ProTools
If you un-select the stereo track from the camera into the inspector, everything work as expected, you will have 8 tracks in ProTools.
If you UN-Select the first track from the external recorder you will loose the first track of the music too.
Each track that you remove from the EXTERNAL clips is reflected too the Music clip too (In fact it is any audio clip (in green)
here some screenshot for exemple:
In inspector, remove first track of the external recorder:
In the timeline, you see we are suppose to have 8 SubRole (1 from the stereo clip, 3 from the external recorder, 4 from the music)
X2Pro only see 7 SubRole (we lost the Music M1)
Another exemple with 3 track removed from the External recorder:
We have lost 3 audio track from the music too.
The work around that I found for this, because it is a really problem for Us in our workflow is too take all in clip into the primary storyline and too "lift them from storyline" Now all my music is attached to a Slug into the primary storyline, so I don't have any problem.
Thank you for your support, have a nice day !

Hi James
I tried with 3.0.2. After I updated to 3.0.4 and it was still present. Finally I tried with a second machine who was still at 2.5.1. All three versions made the same problem.
Thanks.

AceLain created the topic: X2pro Bug report with Synchronized clip
Hi, I think I just found a bug and I want to report it
Quick way to reproduce:
In FCX, create a Synchronized clips with 2 audio sources (one from the camera and the other from an external audio recorder) Assign a different role for both audio source (camera and external audio)
Place the synchronised clip into a sequence (aka project). After that, place an audio clip (like a music) attached to your synchronized clip.
Assign a role to the music too.
In normal situation, if you are exporting this sequence (project) to x2pro, you will see 3 audio role.
Camera
external
Music
that is normal.
now, before exporting, un check the 2 audio source in the synchronized clip inspector and export that sequence. You should only see a single role into that sequence, the Role music.
This is where the bug happen, if you are unslecting the audio source before exporting, X2Pro will not see the music attached to that clips.
Here some screenshot from a test sequence:
All clips are enable, works as expected:
2 audio source form the synchronized clip are de-selected. Only the music is suppose to be into X2Pro
I did some test, if the audio clip is not attached to the synchronized clip, it works as expected
if the audio clip is attached to a normal clip, it work as expected.
if their is multiple audio clip attached to the "de-slected" synchronized clip it does NOT work
if you replace the synchronised clip by a multi clip, it work as expeted
I think the problem really come from X2Pro, because if I import the same FCPXML into XtoCC to fincalcut pro 7 that works how it should.
Thanks for you time and have a nice day
