James Carrick replied the topic: Failed to read X samples
Hi Darren, apologies, I thought there was a post from Graeme explaining the "Failed to read X samples" error. Essentially in the change from using QTToolKit to AVFoundation there is an issue reading some audio tracks correctly in AVFoundation when they would have worked in our implementation with QTToolKit. We have submitted to the app store a version that resolves this, however we are still waiting for it to be accepted. In the meantime if anyone is having this issue we are letting them have a version that will work until the 3.0.5 is available on the app store. I will pop you a mail with the details.

sorry, I am running 3.0.4 - I cannot find 3.0.5 - but I heard that it has solved some of the bugs. So, what gives?

I am trying to get an AAF file from a FCPX xml file and keep getting this error message below. I have updated and even upgraded to PRO but nothing is working. I have gone through all my sound files and they are all supported, normal files. WAV's to be exact. NOTHING SEEMS TO BE WORKING. Since I am stuck using your program (as it is the only one on the market that does this) please tell me how to fix this.

My XML file is attached

File Attachment:

File Name: DOWNDOG11-2v4.fcpxml
File Size:137 KB

Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [AA039201] to AAF file
Adding essence data to AAF file for portion 0 of asset [AA039201]
Reading audio data from audio extractor : 317622 samples
Failed to read 317622 samples
Error Extracting audio data (read 631616 bytes of 635244 required) (Error number 1)

Suggestion: Does this movie contain an unsupported audio format ?

No AAF file has been generated.
