Hi Arnold,

We did have a few issues here so that might be why your post wasn't getting through to us ( I will delete the duplicate one so we can keep it all here).

As far as I am aware, X2Pro was designed to take stereo tracks and export them as separate mono tracks, it isn't an issue with Logic, you should see the same thing if you went directly to Pro Tools.

hi.
i've been trying to send you a support request, but keep doing something wrong, and get my post ignored.
hopefully this will get through!

i'm surely doing something wrong.
i export the xml from fcpx.
take it into X2Pro, and export an AAF file.
all good.
no worries.
when i open it in Logic Pro x, all tracks are mono.
how come?

even stereo tracks in FCPX come in mono.
i've tgried different role settings and reference settings.
but nothing changes.
all mono.

is this because i am opening with Logic, instead of directly into ProTools?
would that make the difference?
i only open in Logic because the Protools guy wants 96/24, not just 48/24.
so i take it into Logic and rename tracks and export at the specs he wants.
if i just sent him the raw AAF from X2Pro, would that solve the problem, and he'd get stereo tracks?

what do i have to do to get stereo audio in FCPX to export in stereo to an AAF that can be opened by Logic and ProTools with stereo audio tracks?
or is that possible?
why does it always convert to mono?

thankls,

randy
