Hey Team!
I got so close to making the conversion successful. Everything seemed correct and I followed detailed instructions that I got from a super useful film school website called 2pop.calarts.edu.
After importing the .AAF file all of the clips were lined up and everything seemed great but the audio did not match up whatsoever. It sounded like random audio clips that were pulled from somewhere else in the FCPX library or something. Just totally randomly recorded wind noise and footsteps or other strange sounds from the production audio from my client. Or the clips were there but there was no audio at all.
Is there a reason it wouldn't have pulled from the audio in the project that I created the XML from?
Thank you!
