Dear Holovicc
If I understand correctly you want to bridge between the two, essentially update an existing XML from an AAF. Will raise as a feature request and review with the Product Manager.

Dear All,
Does anyone else see a need for bridging between ProTools and FCPX, or have any comments ?

Many thanks.

James.

when i finish the work in Pro Tools, i export a stereo master back to FCPX. then it would be extremely difficult not getting back to ProTools after edits in FCPX, so i am thinking about exporting stems from Pro Tools: dialog, music, and FX and then mix and master in FCPX. this way your suggestion might work.

Hi Holovicc

There is currently no automatic way of doing what you want, however if you could export the Edit you have worked on in ProTools to FCPX would that work for you ?

Yours Sincerely

James

I am happily using X2Pro, but i am looking for something to save more time.

Usually i go to editing in Pro Tools when i think i finished cutting the video.

Only to realise later that i made this and this mistake, so i make some edits in FCPX.

Is there a way that the Pro Tools session would follow the changes in FCPX somehow?
