Hi im3rd,

We have looked at your XML files and can not see why you are missing any files, the text file shows all the files have been successfully copied. Is it possible for us to have a look at the problem directly through the use of TeamViewer?

Thanks,

Daniel

I have no idea where to look for this report. if you're talking about the text file, it was attached on my very first post. it has been almost two weeks since I bought this.

Do you have the report that was created when you ran this job? If so please upload it and I'll take a look to see whether that file was created. As it is in the xml it should be in that directory (as referenced in the new XML). I can't think of any reason for it to be missing if it was created successfully.

it is not in there. However, I didn't touch anything or move anything so my question would be why it isn't in there?

Dear im3rd,

Can you confirm that the media PGH52083-1.MOV is in the /Volumes/Media HD/Leavenworth Trip 2017/Archive/Leavenworth 2017 location.

Please advise.

Yes. FCP has no issue locating the files when I'm using the original timeline.

FCP version 10.3.4
OSX Sierra 10.12.6

Dear im3rd,

We rely on FCP to automatically re-link to the media, can you confirm the media is in the Archive/Leavenworth 2017 location and that FCP can see and has rights and access to this media location, the reason we ask is if FCP cannot see or have access to this location then it won't see the media when you import the XML.

Can you advise what version of FCPX you are using, and the OS ?

Many thanks

James

I have not moved anything and yes, I exported to the path that you have listed.
I didn't touch any of the original media or FCPX files. Does it not automatically relink? or is it a manual process? even if it's manual process, why would it not link?

Dear im3rd

You exported the project to /Volumes/Media HD/Leavenworth Trip 2017/Archive/Leavenworth 2017", can you confirm that you have not moved the project from this location. Can you also confirm that media is in this location (if you have not moved it) specifically "PGH52083-1.MOV".

Even if you have moved the location FCP should still relink, if you have moved the location can you browse to it from FCPX ?

So you are aware we only modify the path in the XML we create and the length of the assets that can be reduced.

Please advise.

Yours sincerely

James

Hello.

I just purchased this and converted a small project. I got the folder and xml and everything then I try to open in FCPX, its missing media files. I try to relink it to the newly created folder and it said 2 files were not long enough to relink? so I deleted the event and tried it again and now I don't even get the relink option.

I heard great things about this software but this is not a good start. Someone please help!
