Hi Meni,
We see the fcpxml is the original, what the problem is the "PinocchioQC_9_13_17-106" .mov file appears to be the result of going through Worx4 X. Is it possible for you to send us the original .mov
(possibly just called "Pinocchio QC_9_13_17")? This is the exact name of the .mov that FCP X wants to relink to.
Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel
Thank you for continue with the effort of finding solutions to my problem. I don’t feel it dragged to much. I know that these things takes time.
The file I sent you was produced by Worx4. It was supposed to be 1 frame at length but it is one second. The xml i sent you didn’t have any changes. This is the original from fcpx. I don’t know why it’s not recognized by fcp. I will produce new version of the project but it will take a few days till I have the opportunity to do so. Maybe the 3rd project I sent will work better. It have the same problems.
Best

Hi Meni,
In the "TheAdventuresofPinocchio_UHD_24p_8ch-2trk_Surround5.1Stereo_Rec709_ProRes422HQ_MEZ_9_16_17_2017-10-05" xml there is no .mov file called "PinocchioQC_9_13_17-106" although there is one called "Pinocchio QC_9_13_17".
The mov provided is only one second long and we cannot relink it in FCP X. i.e FCP X doesn't recognise it as the same clip.
Can you please provide the original .mov "Pinocchio QC_9_13_17". Is the "PinocchioQC_9_13_17-106" file provided a result of a worx4 x trim? If so we would have expected the original clip to be called "PinocchioQC_9_13_17" i.e no space between Pinocchio and QC.
When we look at the 1800 assets referenced in the XML they all appear to live in a Davinci Render folder, has the xml been processed by Davinci in some way after FCPX before being given to Worx4 X ?
I apologise if you feel this is dragging on but, we really do need the exact source media for the project in question to progress as we cannot reproduce the issue reported with our test media here.
Thank you for your patience,
Daniel

The sync clips as video only because we took the sound out after the editing was finish. We had some sound technical reasons for it. I don't know about gaps. I will check.
The other 2 project I sent you with similar problems, has no sync clips or compound clips in them. You may want to check them as well.

Hi Meni,
I believe we now understand what is happening, when we process the xml we can see that there are a lot of sync clips, in general we can deal with sync clips if they are used with whole assets. However, a lot of the sync clips are used with only one track and have also got gaps applied to them. For example:
<sync-clip name="E3_6 party g_1 - Synchronized Clip" offset="11367356/24000s" duration="35035/24000s" start="1321542222/24000s" format="r21" tcFormat="NDF">
<note>Crowd reactions to Clown behavior</note>
<spine>
<gap name="Gap" offset="105669083520/1920000s" duration="33713680/1920000s" start="6912025120/1920000s"/>
<clip name="E3_6 party g_1" offset="105702797200/1920000s" duration="593593/24000s" start="1321836516/24000s" tcFormat="NDF">
<video name="Ursula_1_2017-04-01_1517_C0014 - v1" offset="1321836516/24000s" ref="r126" duration="593593/24000s" start="1321836516/24000s"/>
<keyword start="110153043/2000s" duration="593593/24000s" value="2017_04_01_15_36_18, day 3-4, day 4, video"/>
</clip>
</spine>
<keyword start="55035981/1000s" duration="1692691/24000s" value="e3"/>
</sync-clip>
In the example above, because this only references one track ( just video) we would consider this to be a bad sync clip and worx4 X is unable to process this. Additionally, because it is also a sync clip with a gap, we would also not be able to process it.
In the example below, we can see an asset in the sync clip (which is good) but then there is a gap applied to it and we fall to process this because there is a gap.
<sync-clip name="E3_6 party g_1 - Synchronized Clip" offset="11533522/24000s" duration="28028/24000s" start="1321741421/24000s" format="r21" tcFormat="NDF">
<note>Crowd reactions to Clown behavior</note>
<adjust-transform position="-42.4492 -38.4529" scale="1.98 1.98"/>
<adjust-volume amount="-96dB"/>
<spine>
<gap name="Gap" offset="105669083520/1920000s" duration="33713680/1920000s" start="6912025120/1920000s">

</asset-clip>
</spine>
Can you advise why there are so many sync clips that appear to have either one track or have a gap.
Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
I don't have the old XML for the edit version I sent you, so I made a new FCP XML and exported it via Worx4. It's almost the same as the old one though - very little changes. Please find attached Original XML, Worx4 XML and Worx4 TXT.
By the way, a colleague of mine tried yesterday to export her project via Worx4X. 1080p ProRes. But instead of just a few gigs, it ends up 130 gigs. For 2 minutes timeline.

Hi Meni,
Apologies for not keeping you updated with what is happening.
One of the developers has been looking into the problem and has managed to reproduce it and is looking further into it now. He has asked if it would be possible for you to send the original fcpxml for the "COTOR" project (before it went through worx4 x) so we can see why it is not being trimmed correctly, by comparing it to the worx4 x version that you sent previously.
Many thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel
Do you please have any answer that might help me. I sent 3 different XML files, and none of them are working properly. You said it's because of compound clips but at least two of them has no compound clips in them.
Please advice.

Hi Daniel,
I checked again and there are only 3 compound clips in the COTOR timeline, and all of the other clips aren't. Including the one I sent you. It is a Sync clip though.
The other 2 projects, don't have any compound clips in them.

Hi Meni,
The clip "Ursula_1_2017-04-01_1517_C0014-copy1" in the xml "COTOR_Worx4_2017-10-05-2" is used in a compound clip which is then used in another compound clip which has then been synchronized (sync clip).
The logic in worx4x is that if we see a compound clip we will have to take the entire compound clip, which is why your clips are not being trimmed.

Hi Daniel,
Please find attached 3 XML for 3 different project that have the problems described in the above messages. Also attached 2 files for the 3rd project. They suppose to be 1 frame long each after trimming, but they are much longer than that (In the preferences it's o.o handles).
So, you have now from me 3 XMLs (attached), 2 video file uploaded to your http a few days ago for COTOR.XML and KilorbeKilled.XML, Plus the new 1 media file (attached) for The Adventures of Pinocchio.XML.
The main problems are: Some clips are not trimmed at all even though they are not used as a whole in the project (See example in COTOR.xml), and others are not trimmed to the right length. They are much longer compare the the part used in the project. (In all of the 3 xml attached.)
My system: Mac OSX Sierra and High Sierra (same problems in both OSs), Mac-Pro 64GB RAM.
Please advice, as the app just stoped doing its job. (It did in the past.)

Hi Daniel
The Files I sent are for 2 different projects.
1. COTOR.
2. The Fighting Eagle.
I didn’t sent the XML for those projects because I asked to send the text file produced by the app. Which I did.
I will send you the XMLs in the beginning of the week. I’m out of the office right now.
