Worx4 X not consolidating project properly

OK fair point Daniel - you are right it does say 'doesn't support multicam clips' which unfortunately makes it useless to me at the moment.
I will request a refund.

Unfortunately Worx4 X does not support multicam clips. The limitations of Worx4 X are mentioned on the Appstore page in the description. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/worx4-x/id1195903030?mt=12

If Worx4 X is no longer useful to you without the support for multicam, you can request a refund from the Appstore and they will happily give you a refund.

Quick update Daniel - all the clips where it is saying 'entire asset used' are the clips inside the multicam clips in FCPX.
Does Worx 4 X not support multicam clips?
Do you need to collapse the multicam clips into individual clips?
(I don't even know how to do that!!!)

I really hope it's just a bug as lack of multicam support really dents the usefulness of Worx 4 X.

Hi Daniel thanks for the quick reply,
I am indeed getting a lot of 'entire asset used' messages, however the clips concerned are definitely NOT used in their entirety in the finished video - it's only 7mins long - so something is getting confused.
Some points to note:
The clips are all in a compound clip in FCP X.
The compound clip is made up of multicam clips.
Each multicam clip has a mix of two different camera rushes - some XAVC from an FS7 and some H.264 from a Canon 5D however both of which have been colour corrected so have been rendered into ProRes422.
What other info would be useful to track down why Worx 4 X is misinterpreting that the whole clip is used when it isn't?

Hi Dave,

There could be a few reasons why some of the clips are not being consolidated. If you process the project via Worx4X the report will detail why it has been unable to compress certain files, and therefore transferred them as whole file. Have listed the most common reasons below:

Copying as file (entire asset used),
as the entire asset is used we have to transfer it as is

Copying as file (uncompressed audio),
the configuration is set to copy audio files without losing metadata, this can reduced by selecting in Worx4X preferences "trim audio files and lose metadata".

Copying as file (media cannot be segmented),
These are files that we believe AVFoundation cannot be used to Trim/consolidate.

Hi there,
Just bought Worx4X and tried it on a couple of projects.
First one - very simple cuts only - cut down 40mins to 8 mins. Great.

Next one - not so good. Project has a 7 min sequence in a compound clip.
Worx4 X says...

Consolidated project: 1.54 hours - 53.6 GB.
Saving 7.73 GB.

So something is wrong - it's not consolidating to 7 mins but to 1hr 54 mins!!
I tried a previous version of the same project that wasn't in a compound clip and it does the same - it's not consolidating properly.

Given that this is why I bought the App this is pretty annoying.
Happy to assist with debug if someone can tell me what they need.
