Yes thank you.

The recipient of the xml was able to import into PP and they reported no issue that they couldn't adjust to.

error msg above when importing the Worx4 created FCPX file that you have.
Is there a way to send the original/source XML for your attention only?

Hi GottaRun,

Would you be able to attach a screenshot of the error message you are getting as well as your original XML file?

Many thanks!

Daniel

This looks to be a Final Cut issue as you are unable to re-import the original xml file back into Final Cut itself. I'm afraid there isn't much we can do to help. The only things I can recommend is to try re-exporting the xml again to see if it was an xml generation issue or to contact Apples Final Cut support.

I get this error message:

Encountered an unexpected value. (src="file:///Volumes/Promise%20Pegasus/MARS2020/06_DELIVERABLES/05_Music/BFM_KeepingItClean.wav_JCB": /fcpxml[1]/resources[1]/asset[859]/@src)

Inappropriate file type or format

Seems to be related to those wavs?

Hi Bcassin,

Would you mind trying to re-import the xml you get out of FCPX (without going through worx4x). I tried importing both of your xmls you sent below and I was unable to get either of them into Final Cut.

I removed th offending file but am still getting more errors.

Encountered an unexpected value. (src="file:///Volumes/Built_For_Mars_masters/02_Media%20Files_Consolidated/All%20cutsnomuisc/BFM_KeepingItClean-copy1.wav_JCB": /fcpxml[1]/resources[1]/asset[1171]/@src)

Inappropriate file type or format

Also a wav file. Maybe worx4x doesn't like wavs?

Using 1.3.2 returns the same error message:

Encountered an unexpected value. (src="file:///Volumes/Built_For_Mars_masters/02_Media%20Files_Consolidated/All%20cuts/BFM_BigIdeas-copy1.wav_JCB": /fcpxml[1]/resources[1]/asset[63]/@src)

Thank you.

Does this mean I have to re-run the consolidation process?

Hi Bcassin,

We believe we have resolved this issue in version 1.3.2. but it is not available on the app store currently as it is still going through testing. I will pop you a private mail with more details.

Yours Sincerely

James

Used 1.8 xml since 1.9 doesn't work.

Processed the cut over night and when I try to import that xml back into FCP I get this error:

Encountered an unexpected value. (src="file:///Volumes/Built_For_Mars_masters/02_Media%20Files_Consolidated/All%20cuts/BFM_BigIdeas-copy1.wav_JCB": /fcpxml[1]/resources[1]/asset[63]/@src)

Inappropriate file type or format

Not sure why it has a problem with that file.

Can't attach an xml file for some reason, won't let me submit when I do.
