Hi Britim,
Apologies for the delay, I'm afraid I couldn't reproduce the isssue with changing the speed of clips at a variety of speeds. This might have to be a question for Apple support because as mentioned in a previous message the duration of the clip I looked at appears to not match up with what it displays in FCPX.

Thanks for the reply Daniel.
I meant changing the speed (playing faster or slower) of clips as stated in
the FCP manual. support.apple.com/guide/final-cut-pro/create-variable-speed-effects-ver95783cbbc/mac
The range of footage that can be affected by this tool is within the frame limits of the selected clip (or media) and cannot extend past the beginning and end frames of that clip.
Thanks again for your help.
Brian

What exactly do you mean with "speed ramps"? It is possible any added or subtracted media could cause the frames to go off the beginning or the end. I can try and add some speed ramps here (once I know what they are) and see if it then generates an issue for me as well.
Thanks,
Daniel

Thanks for looking at the XML Daniel.
I'm working on FCP 10.6.3 and using the latest R3D Apple Workflow Installer which is v19.
There were some speed ramps used during the project. Could that throw things off?

Hi Brian,
I've had a look at your media and your xml. I created my own project with your clips and Worx4 X didn't have a problem with them. I had a look inside your xml file and I did find that the clip durations in the xml didn't match up with the durations in Final Cut. So it looks like something is going wrong with getting the media duration correct when Apple is creating the XML file.
What version of FCPX are you using and what version of the R3D Apple Workflow Installer(plugin) are you using?

Hi Brian,
Will send you a link shortly, the issue is that the TC given for parts of the media are not available when we query the media, if you could upload any of the clips involved and Mecha_Builders_Herald_Square_FINAL.fcpxml to our ftp site we can see where the discrepancy is occuring.
Yours Sincerely
James

Was recently consolidating a project made up of RED Komodo footage.
While Worx4X was copying over footage I noticed several clips with the
following error message in the report:
Asset failed:
The requested start or end frame does not exist within the clip
The folder for these clips.
Is this a known bug and is there a fix available?
