Worx4X crashing

Last input on this.
Just saw that 8.4 apparently has a RED One trim bug that is fixed in 8.5.
Admittedly this would have an impact on me.

Yes RED SDK 8.5 was just released with the new V-Raptor X cameras.
Not sure how much of the update is specific to the new cameras and how it affects Worx4X.
I trust the developers can decide on that.

We will look at adding 8.5.0, but it was only released 6 days ago, the last version 8.4.0 is what is built with X2Pro

Enhancing Worx4X to continue even if it encounters
an unexpected clip and listing that clip(s) in a report
could help.

I also see that the latest RED SDK Worx4X supports is 8.0.1 which was released in 2021.


The latest RED SDK is 8.4 from August of 2023 and there was a beta for 8.5 released last month.

If you need a beta tester i am willing as I do have a lot of long form projects that need to be consolidated and might be a decent test bed.

Dear Brian,

Apologies for the delay, the issue is one of the pieces of r3d media supplied is causing the r3d SDK to fall over, we have to use the r3d SDK to read any / all r3d media.. This essentially causes Worx to fall over as we had not anticipated the r3d SDK doing this. Not sure how long it will take r3d to resolve but in the meantime we can change the code our end at least not to fall over when it experiences the SDK failing.

Will let you know when we have a build to test.

Using Worx4X the last few months has seen pretty unstable performance.

Whenever I use Worx4X to consolidate a project it crashes.
I think it's now been over a year that I've been able to consolidate a project.
Would greatly appreciate help with this as I'm eating up a lot of storage.
