Is the Canon footage in MXF files?

Do the Canon files contain audio that you need in the AAF?

X2Pro tries to extract audio from clip using an Apple framework called AVFoundation, but that doesn't work on MXF files, so it uses QTKit (another framework from Apple) to extract audio from MXF files. The main X2Pro app has to spawn another process to use QTKit, and that error message indicates that the communication between those two processes is failing.

I just tried converting a project containing an mxf here on a system running 10.12.3, and there was no issue extracting the audio from an MXF file on that system. Are you able to make your fcpxml and one of the Canon file available to us to try here in case it's a problem with the specific files?

I am on 10.12.3. I restarted several times and received the same message.

This has happened with other Canon footage in the past. I had to strip the whole project of Canon footage, make separate prores and AIFF files out of it, then re-import it clip by clip to make it work. It added two days onto my project just to get it ready for professional audio mixing.

Please help!

What version of OS X are you using? Can you please try restarting your Mac system and try converting it again and tell us whether you get the same error message?
