Sorry for the delayed reply. Currently transiting in Dubai. You're not gonna believe this. I upgraded the app from App store. Still not happening. Made new XML and did the fix as well. Still no luck.

Robin,
a new build of X2Pro which has the functions of the fix script incorporated has just been made available at the app store, as I can't see why the error message is being generated for the fixed version of your xml (there ARE audio tracks in that one). Can you upgrade to the new version and once again try the original fcpxml (and if that doesn't work the fixed one) and see whether the result is an AAF now. The fix for the problem in your FCPXML is more robust in the new software than in the script so it should help.

The results that you are seeing make no sense, the FCPXML that Daniel sent to you after fixing was not expected to work with your media, because the correct paths are not available to us here it was converted with dummy paths. When you used the fix script and created a new XML the result should have been a new XML which your machine could process just as the one fixed here did (but with correct paths to your media). Can you try again with a newly exported xml and send me the FCP export and fixed xmls if the fixed one will not process through X2Pro

Hi Tim,

I managed to use the aaf. But I'm not sure why the aaf is pointing to the files in a folder that was never there. I'm very confused.

Attached is the txt file from the aaf creation.

Should I try making a new AAF from the project and getting that cleaned up?

Robin,
as it says in the picture the software is being denied access (by MacOSX) to the folder on your desktop. You need to add a media location in the top box in that screenshot or by accessing the preferences. If you add the top level of Macintosh HD on your machine or / then X2Pro will be able to access everything on your system.

Hi,

Now I got this message that won't allow me to proceed. I attached the screenshot for the error message.

Otherwise, I attached the txt file you requested.

Best,
-Robin

Hi Robin,

When we run your XML through X2Pro 4.0.29 it converts for us. Can you send the .txt file that X2Pro creates?

I have also attached the XML which we have converted for you.

Daniel

Hi Robin,

Your XML describes that asset as having no audio, but then tries to reference the assets audio later on. This is a known problem and we are working on a solution currently.

A temporary workaround is to upload your fcpxml to fixfcpxml.appspot.com and that should allow you to download an fcpxml that X2Pro will convert.

Regards,

Daniel

Hi,

I've tried several times to make AAF from my project. First tried converting all non-WAV to WAV, then I detached audio from video. Still no luck. Getting the same message as per below:
The following fatal errors were found:
Processing Audio element
Processing element ProjectElement
Processing element AudioElement
Extracting audio
Extracting Audio
No audio tracks defined in asset [A006C004_170911_R6OC]

No AAF file has been generated.

Weird thing is that clip A006C004_170911_R6OC is nowhere in the timeline.

Please help.

Best,
-Robin
