"trim embedded audio not working"

Hi ibay,

X2Pro can only trim audio it can read using AVFoundation. Depending on what types of clips you have in your project will determine if it can be trimmed or not. Some clips, such as multicam clips, we are unable to trim as they are too complicated.

When you used X2Pro it should have generated a .txt file as well as your AAF which should contain everything that X2Pro did or didn't do.

Hello,
I have just exported a project about 90 minutes long with the "trim embedded audio" option activated.
The resulting AAF is 14,3 GB large. This is much too big in my opinion.
I am assuming this is happening because the audiofiles aren't beeing trimmed.

Is there more to do than activate "trim embedded audio" for it to work properly?
