Dear Erim,

Further to my mail, to confirm we are not able to work with CRM files, the only options are to transcode them in FCPX or use one of the Cannon apps to convert them to a movie file before importing into FCPX.

Yours sincerely

James

Dear Erim,

I have moved you to a new topic as the original error message for that thread was "Track number exceeds number of tracks in asset " and your error message is that AVFoundation "cannot open" the asset.

Would you be able to supply us with your XML and the asset A009C029_180621T1_CANON, if so we will supply you with ftp details to upload them to.

Yours Sincerely

James

Dear James,

I am using the latest version of FCPX 10.4.3 on High Sierra. After ranscoding to optimized media (ProRes) of the CRM I am receiving the same error - any other suggestions?:

Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [A009C029_180621T1_CANON] to AAF file
Opening audio extractor for portion 0 of asset [A009C029_180621T1_CANON]
Failed to initialise audio extractor with default bit depth of 24
Error Setting up for audio extraction (Cannot Open)

Suggestion: Does this movie contain an unsupported audio format ?

No AAF file has been generated.
