Just to update the forum, after investigating this issue, it was finally resolved by uninstalling and then re-installing the software.

Dear Slfilm,

We have imported your xml back into FCPX, we do get warnings on the import of this XML due to Apple Motion effects that you have created that we don't have access to here. We can process the XML and create an AAF.

So there is nothing fundamentally wrong with the XML.

Would you be able to supply the WAV file where you were getting the failure to open ?

Yours Sincerely

James

i'm getting this error for a fcpxml v1.8. i used the search function but nothing came up in the forum. is this a general BWF issue? no difference between referencing files or embedding.
