Hi Daniel,

thanks for your reply.
in Preferences > Media Locations I added a more specific location (the parent folder of the footage) and tried again.

This time the AAF was created successfully. (1.87GB)

Thanks for all your help.

Hi David,

It sounds like it might be a permissions/sandboxing issue. Does the user running X2Pro have permissions to read from that location? Can you try pointing the media locations directly to the folder all the clips are in? If this doesnt work then would you be able to send us a couple of the clips so we can figure out what the problem is?

Regards,

Daniel

HI there,

I'm exporting a timeline from FCPX and get the error message "AAF created but had some issues" under which is an extensive list of clips reading :

The following issues were found (may cause loss of some audio from AAF) :
• Failed to open media file [file:///Volumes/ETS3_working1/Extreme_Treks_Season3/ETS3_Episodes/Iceland/footage/2017_08_06%20-%20Iceland%20Day%202/Cclips/Clip0013.MXF]
• Failed to open media file [file:///Volumes/ETS3_working1/Extreme_Treks_Season3/ETS3_Episodes/Iceland/footage/2017_08_07%20-%20Iceland%20Day%203/Cclips/Clip0008.MXF]
...
and so on listing just about every clip in my timeline.

The resulting AAF is only 15MB when I think it should be more than 500MB (a 46min timeline)

I've given permissions for X2Pro to access the relevant drive and used the "verify" function which states in green that all files can be accessed.
I have checked that the said files are in the location as listed above. They are there.

My OS is MacOSHighSierra 10.13.6
FCPX 10.4.3
X2Pro Audio Convert 4.2.2

I've attached the FCPXML (ver 1.8)

Please help.

Thanks,

David
