Well that is good. Thanks for double checking it. Now I wonder why my sound guy had trouble. I will have to do some testing with him. Thank you.

We've checked the fcpxml and the aaf and we are seeing the exact same as you, which seems to be the expected outcome.

I was able to import a test FCPXML back into Final Cut Pro as expected.

I also tried importing a test AAF into Resolve and it seemed to work correctly?

Not sure why my sound guy had trouble, but just in case I have attached the FCPXML and AAF for you to double check.

I am using X2Pro 4.2.2.

If you re-import the FCPXML into a new library does the audio do the same thing? It may be the xml which is not defining the edit correctly. If you get the correct result when reimported please let us have a copy and we'll look into why X2Pro is doing that.

Is anyone else having trouble with extended audio on compound clips being chopped off? I have a documentary with each chapter cut in a separate compound clip and the audio extended past the video (so the music can finish fading as the new scene begins).

However, when my sound guy got my AAF from X2Pro, the audio was trimmed to match the video.
