Hi Jayce,
It sounds like whatever iXML is doing, it is effecting the way X2Pro reads the roles and subroles. If possible, please update us on how it works on your next show with/without iXML. Thanks :)

Hi
Apologies for the delay, i was trying different options. So I changed all the roles to default Dialogue roles and that was fine. But then when I changed them back to new subroles it would not accept the new roles and x2pro just showed the old roles. What makes this even more weird is that I have another show that I am doing and that is perfect.
The differences are that the one that works does not use iXML to name their audio tracks but the show that doesn't work does use iXML. On my next show in this series I will import and ignore iXML and see if I get the same issue.
Attached is the screen grab of the updated Roles list and the XML from that Show

Last Edit: 6 years 3 months ago by Jayce. Reason: update: Brought in without iXML and still same problem, new roles not recognised. Wonder if this isn't an issue with the footage and not X2Pro.

Which roles appear to be missing? Would you mind sending a screenshot from the updated xml or listing each role so we can compare to what we see here? It's possible that X2Pro is having some kind of issue with taking the role name and instead is using the original role name.
Thanks,
Daniel

Just an update. I did further digging and realised I had not removed all the old role names from the editor, hence the doubling up, however even after the clean up not all roles are showing up in the drawer

I rename all my dialogue roles in FCPX according to the character name. However I have discovered that not all my roles come through.
Also all of the originally named roles show up which then effectively doubles the amount of channels going to Mix.
I've attached a screen grab of the roles is FCP ad the FCPX XML used to create the AAF and a screen grab of the roles dialogue drawer.
Running on a Mid 2014 MacBook Pro. OSX 10.13.6 FCPX is 10.4.3
Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Jayce
