Hi gcroos,

Apologies for the delay,

Would you be able to send us your xml file so we can take a look to see what exactly is going on?

I still need some help with this - I have to get the sound to a professional sound editor ASAP as deadline for this doc is now really - this is not an amateur project - But I cannot get the sound to export and I cannot add the source clips as they are stored within the FCPX library as part of it and not as separate items that are locatable within the library.

PLEase can you suggest a work around for this.

Thank you for getting back to me.

The problem is that those two locations are stored within the FCPX library which is stored on the external hard drive along with everything else and the only media location i can click on is the external hard drive which contains it all as I can't open up the library as it is all contained within the icon which I cannot click on. So I can't open it up to add it. But it is working fine with everything else so i don't understand

It looks like there is some media (original source clips maybe?) in those locations that is needed in order for X2Pro to successfully create an AAF. Would you be able to add those two locations to the media locations and see if it then works?

Hi there - I have just purchased X2Pro to export my FCPX XML so it can be used with Pro tools - it's a 40 minute documentary.

I keep getting fatal error about audio files

I have tried using the forum to fix the XML files via the link to fixed XML and it doesn't work

All my media is contained within the FCPX library - all of which is stored on an external hard drive as the project is too big for my desk top (at 2.4Tb - desktop is 1 TB)

In Media destinations I can only choose the external hard drive as the library which is also the app icon plus projects and events is transparent and can't be chosen.

it then says it is not compatible with two other files which are not necessary to the chosen media destination

Ive tried this several times using the suggestions made in your support threads but to no avail.

Any ideas?
