I believe they were filmed on the Scarlet RED.
And, after a half day (literally) of talking with Apple (after posting this), I think I found the problem of why the file kept saying it failed to open.
I had even manually re-input the files back into the folders it said they should be coming from and it didn't work.

It turned out to be such an obscure problem that it took apple and I a while to figure out what was wrong. It was that the files although said they were linked to the proper original media they actually were not. It had something to do with how I added the Audio files to the clips that was the start of all of this mess.
that problem listed was not the fault of X2pro.

After re-linking the media files again to their origins and running x2pro it seemed fine except for one error which states: "conform rates have not been applied". I'll look into that and see what that means.

Thanks for getting back to me though!

Hi Zach,

Do you know what camera these clips were filmed on?

Hello.

I've been trying to figure out how to solve my problem now for 7 hrs and i'm just spent.

Currently X2pro is giving me the error of :
Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [A001_C013_0101Y5] to AAF file
Opening audio extractor for portion 0 of asset [A001_C013_0101Y5]
Failed to open audio extractor
Error Failed to open [file:///Volumes/Bamph/The%20Delivery/The%20Delivery.fcpbundle/Delivery%20Scenes/Original%20Media/A001_C013_0101Y5/A001_C013_0101Y5_001.r3d]

Suggestion: Ensure that the file exists

No AAF file has been generated.
X2Pro Audio Convert 4.2.2

I've looked through the forums and the best thing i've seen ended with "i'll e-mail you".

I know that the files are in the right place. I've even gone so far as removing the linked audio from the clip in question and added the audio separately in the timeline to try to whittle down the problem.

This is my first time using X2pro audio and so far i feel that i've thrown a lot of dollars down the drain. Please do help.

I am currently using FCPX v10.4.5
mac OS High Sierra v10.13.6
and the most recent version of X2Pro Audio Convert v4.2.2
I've updated all of my apple pro video formats to v2.0.7

the film clips are .r3d

thank you

zach.
