Dear David,
I think we are unfortunately looking at a limitation in the import in Logic. If we import the AAF into ProTools, I see the fade start at 01.00.10.12 and finish at 01.00.11.12, the actual audio starts within the end of the fade at about 01.00.11.11, which all looks good.
Yours Sincerely
James

Hello Jame,
Thanks for checking in. I did a test with a new sequence and the problem persists. Perhaps it is because it is part of a compound clip. Or perhaps it is because there is a 1 second dissolve in the sequence at that first cut point. Something in the XML is telling the audio to advance by 2 seconds. There are no gap clips at the start of the sequence.

Hi,
It's version 4.5.0 and the Version of FCP XML is 1.7.
It's consistent and repeatable but just a but strange. Perhaps because it is coming from a compound clip. Not sure.
Anyhow let me know if you would like to to send along some screenshots.

Just wanted to report that I have had a recent issue where all of the AFF files being generated from and FCP X sequences 10+ sequences are all 2 seconds ahead.
IN FCPX the audio file start in the sequence is at 01;00;10;12
IN LOGIC X the resulting file start in the sequence at 01:00:12:12
Exactly 2 seconds every time.
