Hi Gretta,
You are able to change the trim handles size in the X2Pro Preferences (CMD + ,). Unfortunately without the audio files we are unable to reproduce the problem here. Do you have access to another audio editing program? We currently only test against Pro Tools so it is possible your AAF file is imported into Nuendo differently to how we would expect it to be in Pro Tools.

sure. just post here?
I suspect it has to do with the 'Trim' function in the X2Pro interface. I read that to mean added handles, but I wish I could size the handles.

I put a 2-pop at the head of each movie I export for a sound mix. I work in FCP v.10.5.2, my audio engineer is using Nuendo v.10.
I export a reference.mov for him, and FCPXML to X to Pro. The aaf and the movie import into Nuendo out of sync (image attached)
Then, of course, when I bring that mix back into FCP, it is also out of sync (image attached)
the mixes have been randomly out of sync: 3 frames in one instance, 5 in another.
