Dear Daimon,

Yes you are correct this would not be an issue with the full version. In the LE version we will copy into the AAF the full clip, but if the clip isn't quite the length it says it is for all its constituent parts, which this MOV is, it will fail. In the full version we trim the clip so we get everything that was referenced in the XML and so it works.

To confirm the MOV has a duration of 229.44 seconds but the 2 audio tracks in it only have a duration of 206.151 seconds.

I guess it is a question of could you upgrade to the full version and then you will not see this issue.

Yours Sincerely

James

Yes issues are with these files and xml. Tried this morning with the updated XML V1.10...same issue.
did you use the PRO version for extraction or the LE? Could that make any difference?
Any way to test this, happy to buy it if it solves my problems? I have no idea where the problem occurs, using X2PRO many times before.

Dear Daimon

Thanks for uploading the mov, to confirm using 4.5.7 and the XML "MikestefversieV1.8.fcpxml" we see no issues in reading from this mov or creating an AAF, attached AAF for your reference.

Can you please confirm that you do see the issue with "MikestefversieV1.8.fcpxml".

Many thanks

James

Dear DXF,
I think we are going to need to look at the mov to find out what is going on. I will pop you a private mail with details of where to upload the mov to if you can.
Yours Sincerely
James

Dear James,

The synced clip is 6:24 and plays fine, the cut on the timeline is 13:04sec. It plays and has sound in both FCPX and quicktime. I also tried making it a ProRes 422 clip and reconnect media files but keeps having this issue. Also with other media files (when I delete this one from timeline it has the issue with another file.

Could the problem be that it has more than 1 audio files in the video?

Syncing P1005083.MOV with
Time 14:48:36:06: MIXPRE-431_1.WAV
Time 14:48:36:06: MIXPRE-431_2.WAV
Time 14:56:34:22: MIXPRE-432_1.WAV
Time 14:56:34:22: MIXPRE-432_2.WAV
Time 14:58:23:08: MIXPRE-433_1.WAV
Time 14:58:23:08: MIXPRE-433_2.WAV
Set TC: 14:52:12:07(@25.00fps)
Writing P1005083+MIXPRE-431_1_synced...success

Dear Dxf,

The media in question is located at ///Volumes/Promise%20Pegasus/TAMRON/TAMRON%20UK/SYNC%20MDIA/P1005083+MIXPRE-431_1_synced.mov
If you were to look at this on it own does it play out ok from start to finish ? Can you confirm it is 13.16s long ?
Many thanks.

Dear James,

Thank you for quick response.
Yes, I have tried that. I have replaced the media file with a newly synced file, then same issue. So I have changed the videofile and replaced with a transcoded prores synced file... same issue. Inside FCPX it all works fine but can't export my time line. All video files have two audio tracks from a SoundDevices MixPre splitted and synced using Tentacle software into two tracks. I activate only channel 1 Will upload a FCPXML

Dear Dxf,

The software is having an issue reading the media "[P1005083+MIXPRE-431_1_synced", it can read some but not all of it.
If you can upload the fcpxml we can look to see where this media is for you, and you could either check it is ok or remove it from the xml and try the transfer again.
Yours Sincerely
James
