Hi Johannes,
The issue is that there is an asset with no details that is actually referenced in the file.
<asset id="r345" uid="CE75D64146AF1EE9EEABB73DC97250CF"/>
An asset should have more detail in it like the following.
<asset id="r346" name="protokumpel - gentrifiziert eure mutter" uid="35FF33429FC207AF730F2E2CEA58E25B" start="0s" duration="8417323/44100s" hasAudio="1" audioSources="1" audioChannels="2" audioRate="44100">
So we know the issue is r345 and it appears in the XML
<clip lane="-1" offset="89529/25s" name="Christiane Ròˆsinger - Eigentumswohnung" duration="101442251/720000s" enabled="0" format="r46">
<audio ref="r345" offset="0s" duration="134015054/720000s" role="dialogue.dialogue-1" srcCh="1, 2"/>
</clip>
Can you remove Christiane Ròˆsinger - Eigentumswohnung from the project in FCPX, and then export another fcpxml ?

Hi Johannes,
I would suspect that the XML is badly formed as it has no asset information. Would you be able to upload the fcpxml/mld so we can investigate.
Would you also be able to advise if the xml/mld was processed by anything other than FCPX please.
Many thanks

rotoso created the topic: Error: Unable to parse FCP XML
Hi,
when I'm trying to import the XML from FCPX, I permanently get this error:
Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information
Details:
Asset [nil] has no valid media
Extracting Audio
Extracting audio
Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);
X2Pro Audio Convert 4.5.6
Please can anyone suggest me, how to solve it?
Thanks for your help and ideas.
best Johannes
