We can't think of a reason why it is coming out invalid. But we can see on a majority of the clips inside the xml it is missing a reference to the media file it is using. Basically the xml is missing out a key part of information needed for X2Pro to be able to figure out which clip is being used where. We did notice you were still using a version of FCPX that is a few years old. Updating to the latest version might possibly give you a version of FCPX that has an improved FCPXML creation.

Hi, the XML went straight out of FCP X - I have tried a number of times - I've been tidying up the timeline and removing anything I can that might be causing issues. Can you think of any reasons why it might be 'invalid' ? Thanks

Hi Mark,
From looking at your XML it appears to have been created invalid. Have you put the XML through any other software or anything? You can check if the xml was created correctly by reimporting it back into Final Cut. One thing you can try to fix this is reexporting a new XML file and hoping that FCPX creates it successfully.

Hi, here it is - it is quite a large project, but I cut it into thirds and still had a problem with first section. A very simple sequence of 3 clips seemed to work. Attaching XML of full project now, thanks.

Hello, I have spent a long time prepping an FCP X project for audio export to AAF for sound mixing. I just bought X2 Audio Convert for this process but get the following error message "Unable to pars FCP XML file" screenshot attached. I have re started computer and project, tried a shorter section of the project and get the same message. I am on FCP X 10.4.6 on High Sierra.
Can someone help ? Thank you, Mark
