Hi Felix,

Looking at your xml your clips are all multichannel audio. I can see each one is 8 channels of audio. X2Pro isn't able to remove just some channels as it doesn't know if there is audio on them or not.

If you want to remove the ones that dont have any audio in them you need to select the audio in the FCPX timeline and then disable the individual channels by unticking the ones you DON'T want to keep (See the attached screenshot). I disabled 'bite 1-3' as an example.
Once you have gone through them all you need to export a new XML file and then they shouldn't be included in the XML.

Hi Felix,

It all looks okay on my end. In X2Pro it shows you as having 8 music roles. If you don't want to include the blank ones you can open the settings (CMD + ,) and tick "Discard disabled clips" and "Discard inactive clips" that should remove any cliips that aren't being used in the project.

Hi Felix,

Only use the "reference WAV files in place" option if you have WAV files in your project.

Can you send the original XML file so we can try and reproduce the same problem here?

Thanks,

Daniel

Hi Daniel
After I re-export XML from FCPX, with choosing metadataView to Audio and in x2pro deselect Reference Wave file in place , it can export successfully

BUT another issue occur
when import to protools, tracks will duplicate 3 times, For example , original only have 1 stereo music track, but after import to protools, it will have 4 music pair, 1 clip will show waveform, but other 3 pair are blank

Did i make some mistake on X2pro?? I attach the aaf file for your reference
hope you can help

best regard
felix

Hi Felix,

X2Pro does support some MXF files. It is always worth checking to see if you can re-import your xml file back into FCPX in case it has created a bad xml file.

Could you send us the xml so we can take a look at it and see if there are any issues with it?
