Dear Elena,
Further to the mail we just sent, we have just provided a modified FCPXML as the clip in question that was causing the problem is referenced in the XML as having audio, but the actual essence itself had only a video component.
Yours sincerely
James

Golovachova,
At what point does the app crash? Is it as soon as you select the fcpxml, or immidiately after you hit the start button, or a few seconds into the AAF creation?
Did you hit the "Report to Apple" button when it crashed, and if so on what date was that? 18th April?

Hello Graeme. The solution doesn't work in my case.
Is there any other way to fix the problem?
Here is my fcpxml.

Please try the solution mentioned in this post and let me know whether that enables you to work around the problem:

Hi Graeme,
thanks for the offer to tell me where I can get the tool myself. I would like to have some independence with using X2Pro so although I am not very experienced with using Terminal I am willing to try this so long as it doesn't cost me anything more.
However I first have a couple of XML's which is would be great if you could help me "fix" . I have attached them and the crash report to this message.
One question though. In what sense do you mean the XML's exported from final cut are "invalid"? When I import them back in they work fine.
Also, as you said, this shouldn't cause X2Pro to crash... is this something that the development team are working on? will there be an update of the software with this bug fixed? If so ... any idea when that may be released?
Thanks for you help.
David

David,
We believe that the fcpxmls that Final Cut X is generating in your case are not valid, but obviously this should not cause X2Pro to crash.
We have a tool that can "fix" these fcpxmls to make them valid, which works in most situations. I am happy to run your fcpxmls through this tool when you need. If you are happy using the terminal and you would like to try using it yourself, I am also happy to tell you where you can get the tool for yourself.

Graeme,
Thanks very much for sorting out these files. I've just successfully converted the xml's to aaf's ready to send of to the mixing house.
I will have a few more of these coming up soon. I guess I'll need you to help me out with each one. Or is there something in Final Cut X which is causing trouble.
Thanks again,
David

David,
Can you please try converting the attached fcpxmls? They are copies of the ones you provided, but I've modified them slightly to enable X2Pro to process them. You may have to enable the "Discard transitions" preference in order to get them to convert due to a different bug that we are also in the process of fixing.
