I would suggest that wherever possible the original source media is recorded at the ftps you want to work in, in FCPX, and that if there is any retiming warnings when you create the AAF that they are passed to the ProTools engineer, so he can adjust if necessary.
Regarding the original issue, not sure how you can create an XML in FCPX that has an asset marked as both 24 and 25 fps, we tried and cannot do it here. Was the XML ever processed by another system before you imported it into FCPX ?
Thoughts ?

I must admit i'm a little confused (i'm working at a film at the same time) but my question would be : how do i avoid this kind of pb in the future, is there something i should do? is apple the pb?

Yes in the original XML an asset was marked as 25 frames but had a duration in 24 frames, however that clip wasn't in the cut down XML you sent. So I guess we are either looking at if possible the original XML and the source media that you are having issue with in ProTools (i.e. we don't need copies of the good assets in ProTools just the bad ones).
If the media is quite large we will pop you a mail with details of an ftp drop folder to drop it onto.
Yours Sincerely
James

i didn't noticed anything, the mixer told me there was a problem with some clips
we identified it as a 24 25 kind of pb.
then tim robson pointed out that wrong 24fps marker that protools applied.
is fcpx making the mistake?
i had a previous film which had the same kind of pb + a shift (2images late) + micro cuts in some embedded clips.
nether had that before.
thank you and the team for the prompt reply.
ermanno.

Thanks for the two wav files and XML, if we modify the seqjavidpourX2PRO_2018-07-19.xml to point to the media we can process through X2Pro and create a 25fps session in ProTools. Where are you seeing that the audio is 24fps for the seqjavidpourX2PRO_2018-07-19.aaf ?
Many thanks
James

are XML + AAF export enough?
need a video +sound reference export ?
i'm not able to find any marker (you mean in fcp or protools?), those are group clips, it's impossible to decompose them in the timeline.

should I contact apple? do you consider talking to apple directly (might be more efficient)
on the second film, some other pb appear like a general shift of 2 frames from the beginning and "micro cuts", sub frame "gaps" said the mix tech

I’ll try 1.7.
On the other film I’m quite sure I used 1.7 ending with the same kind of pb.
