Michael, Julie, and Hanik,

Would all of you be able to confirm that this is no longer a problem with the latest version of X2Pro.
Version 3.0.5 has been up on the app store for a while and I wanted to see if you all have upgraded and if things are working for you.

Please let us know and many thanks.

Is there another way to Export Audio (AAF) from FCPX? even the Davinci way didnt work. Any urgent way? Before X2Pro worked great for several months. This problem (error) is new.

Thank you for the help

I let firstly at default '2 sec"
As it doesn't work, I tried to change parameters like this one. More or less, it doesn't create a AAF.

I have also simplify my timeline= delete all transitions, duplicate my project to make a shorter project. Always an error message...
All sounds are in my internal disk.

I finally found a free B plan because I really had to do an AAF... I downloaded Da VInci Resolve freely from website, imported the Fcpxml and exported AAF in the same menu. It works fine. I am sorry to advertise an other method with an other software but... when you are in a tight project and you bought a software that doesn't work.... We have to find a quick solution even if it's an other software.
Advice for any editor who is in real s*** as I was.

Thanks anyway for the quick answer even if it doesn't solve my problem and hope to use successfully this software one day

Hi,
The handles were 2 sec when i suceeded exporting, but i.ve tried other values while failing so many times.
Thank you Jeremy for your prompt answer this afternoon when I was at the sound studio. Although the sound editor was really bothered by the fact the sound cuts didn.'t perfectly match the image cuts, the editing in protools seemed synchronised to me. It appeared from the very first items in the timeline, that is to say the first single image and sound frame standing two sec before the editing start. The sound frame was 1/1000 shorter than the image range in protools.

I think x2pro is below expectation, it is like buying a coffee machine that needs to be fixed for two days before it works...

Thank you guys for your kind help in trying to solve my problem, hopefully a clear solution will come soon and x2pro will worh the price we spent on it.

And when I remove the last audio-track, I get a logical error, of course.

Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information

Details:
Parse of /Users/Michael/Desktop/Audio Export/Epiphany - X2Pro Test.fcpxml returned no clips
This may be because the project was empty, contained only disabled audio or because all roles were de-selected

Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);

I cut it down to less than a minute and X2Pro still fails.
You'll get the XML's via WeTransfer.

Michael,

You may be able to help us also.
Would you try trimming down your timeline and seeing if you continue to get the same failure inside of X2Pro?
Maybe start by halfing the timeline, and if that still fails, try halfing it again. If that still fails, it should be easier for us to look at a project that is much smaller in size that the original one.

If you have the time and can try this, it would much appreciated and will help us in determining what the overall cause of the problem is.

Many thanks.

OK, thanks!
I was worried I 'got lost' by having my thread 'hijacked' ;-)
Good luck and if you need anything, let me know.
I'm at the edit bay all day, so can respond quickly.

Michael,

We have not forgotten about you.
Our biggest and best lead so far is to investigate the difference between the failed XML and the one that is able to be converted that Julie has provided.
We will hopefully get this resolved for everyone soon.
