So to clarify, are these two statements correct?:

- The audio echo/delay is on a clip that was a RED clip (r3d files) imported directly into FCP X.
- The external drive has been added to the media locations in the X2Pro preference window.

Hi Graeme.

For question 2: it's actually a RED file imported directly in FCPX, and correct me if I'm wrong but in that case I cannot play in Quicktime 7 (the format is not recognized).

RED files: I had already added the whole external drive to the disk. The files are contained within the FCPX library that is on that drive.

For question 2, I was asking you to open the original QuickTime MOV file that was used in your FCP X sequence in QuickTime Player 7.

Regarding the error with the RED file: Can you add the location of the R3D video files to the media locations and try again. If you don't know exactly where that R3D file is, you can just add your main hard disk (usually called "Macintosh HD") to the media locations. If this works, I can explain why if you would like?

Hi Manoucho,

We have had a couple of other customers reporting an echo/delay on some clips after they have gone through X2Pro. The cause of this delay was some missing information in the mov file, and the problematic mov files were created by either AJA or Sound Devices.
1. Were your mov files created by either of those companies kit?
2. If you play the file in QuickTime Player 7, do you get the same echo/delay effect? (you can download QuickTime Player 7 here if you only have QuickTime Player X on your system)

Regarding the error reading the RED file; We have seen errors like this in the past, but we thought we had fixed it in newer versions of the software.
3. Are you using the most up to date version of X2Pro (2.3)?

Since it is urgent I'm uploading the XML file here

I'm having an additional problem: if I uncheck the TRIM option, I get an error creating the AAF:
Writing AAF file
Adding assets to AAF file
Adding essence for asset [A001_C006_032668] to AAF file
Adding essence data to AAF file for portion 0 of asset [A001_C006_032668]
Reading audio data from audio extractor : 308674 samples
Failed to read 308674 samples
Error Requested 308674 samples from RED file but got 298665

Suggestion: If this RED file is spanned then ensure that an entry for the containing folder
has been added to the Media Locations in the Preferences.

No AAF file has been generated.

I'm extremely confused, there are just too many issues here. I really hope you can help. Thanks!!

Hi

I've exported a project via X2Pro. The audio designer informed me that some audio is missing, and there is an echo/delay.

After checking:
* The missing audio tracks are those from a compound clips as well as J-cuts.
* I do not find a pattern for the echo/delay.

We are now in a hurry to finish the project for a festival and are puzzled with the issue. What do you advise ?

Thank you!!
Emmanuel
