Slav,
I can't find any fcpxml files from you that make X2Pro show the error message below ("Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information"). Did you upload the fcpxml file for us? What is is called?

Hi
I just uploaded a definite xml that i was able to import back into fcpx 10.1.4
TIMELINE EDIT MAIN 5 ONLINE WHOLE Heb Subs.fcpxml
I cleaned some files and I had no trouble importing it back whole minus a few minor audio errors.
Check it out please to see if it opens in your end.
Its the same export I did with TIMELINE EDIT MAIN 5 ONLINE 1 until eden not including.fcpxml that you were able to open.
When trying to open it in x2pro i get this:
Unable to parse FCP XML file to obtain project information
Details:
Media manager unable to find media with id [r2267[
Suggestions:
- Ensure that the file is not locked by another application and is readable;
- Ensure that this is a valid FCP XML file from a released version of FCP X;
- Ensure that this is the export of a Project, not of a Library or Event;
- Ensure that this is not an empty project (or that all audio is disabled);
X2Pro Audio Convert LE 4.0.11
I think of all the xmls i sent you this is the most complete.
If you can open it then great.
Thanks
Slav

Slav,
the fcpxml file named:
TIMELINE EDIT MAIN 5 ONLINE 1 until eden not including.fcpxml
converts OK here without media, the other one that you uploaded fails. Can you tell me what you did with the one that works please?
Tim.

i cant import that file or for that matter a 1.5 xml of the same timeline. however i started chopping the timeline into different xmls and the first part did open. i will continue throughout to about 4-5 separate xmls and see if i can import them back and let you know how that goes.
when are you back at work?
thanks

Dear Slav,
We are unable to parse the fcpxml, so we will not even attempt to process it. Have tried to re-import the fcpxml into FCP 10.3.1 but it also cannot import this file as there is a DTD validation issue (element audio does not carry attribute ref). So it appears the XML you have created on export from FCP is somehow invalid as it cannot be re-imported back into FCP. Are you able to create the file as a FCP X 1.5 XML instead of the 1.6 XML, and can this be re-imported back into FCP ? If it can then there is a chance that we will be able to process it in X2Pro, but fundamentally if FCP cannot import the file then we are almost certainly guaranteed to fail to parse it.
Please advise.
Yours Sincerely
James

Dear Slav,
I have just logged in, you will probably need to copy paste the password into the login, please bear in mind this is drop folder only, so you can only write to it.
Regarding the mail yesterday there was no attachment when we saw it, so perhaps it could have been stripped off, in which case could you attempt to zip it up and send it as a mail attachment if it is less than 10M.
Yours Sincerely
James
